A growth in Canterbury business Titan Cranes has led to a new purposebuilt premises, with room to move and space to provide the top-notch service for which Titan is known.

A few stray boxes and the odd spare part are still making their way from Titan Group‘s Christchurch home of 24 years in Birmingham Drive to Titan Cranes’ new purposebuilt facility at 200 Springs Road.

"We were getting overcrowded with the rest of the Titan Group," explains Titan Cranes CEO and Christchurch Branch Manager, Gordon Stone. "Because of the growth we‘ve experienced in Christchurch over the past few years the old premises were just too small."

The new premises have been purpose-built as a crane workshop, complete with dispatch facilities, offices, yard space, off-street parking, and a close location to SH1.

Gordon believes the move will help grow the crane hire side of the business and provide greater opportunities for service and maintenance. With its expert crane technicians and support staff, the new workshop will be used to maintain and repair cranes for Titan and its customers, as well as other companies and mobile crane owners.

"Some say it‘s like repairing your competitors‘ cranes," says Gordon. "We argue that if a crane requires specialised repair why not us? It‘s great that the Christchurch branch is able to offer this service."

Gordon extends a warm welcome to current and potential customers of Titan Cranes and invites them to visit the new premises at 200 Springs Road, Christchurch (telephone: 03 335 3205).
